Policies

DEPOSIT POLICY

A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. 1-night reservations will be required to be paid in full. Reservations made online require a 50% deposit at time of reservation. For security reasons, the credit card used for deposit MUST be presented at check in, and MUST have the same name as on the reservation. Remaining balance will be authorized at check-in and is non-refundable. 

CHECK-IN POLICY

ALL guests must be 21 years old unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Required by local law, we will ask you to manually sign a guest registration card, provide photo identification and provide information on any vehicles you may have on the hotel premises. Check in is 3pm and check out is promptly at 11am. Should your plans require you to adjust your departure date, please check with the Front Desk on room availability, but note that your rate is subject to change. If you need to depart early, you are still responsible to pay for all days reseved. No refunds. Please notify the Front Desk immediately if there are any errors to name, rate or length of stay. Late check outs are NOT permitted. For uncontrolable circumstances, a manager's permission is neccessary; no exceptions. 

Credit and debit card processing

Upon check-in, your card issuing bank will place a hold on your debit or credit card for room & tax charges, any applicable resort fees, plus $100 for incidentals per day for the entire stay. This hold will not be released by the issuing bank for up to five (5) business days after your departure. You authorize us to place this hold against your credit or debit card to guarantee any and all charges and, in the event that you do not settle your account subsequent to your departure, you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card or apply funds you have on deposit with us against what you owe. A 3% Convenience Fee will be charged if you will be paying all or in part with a credit or debit card.  A $10 resort fee will be charged in addition to your room rate and taxes per day.  

3rd Party Check-In Policies

Due to new Merchant Service regulations, the person's name on the reservation must match the credit card information. Only the person's name on the reservation can check-in. If you wish to have someone other than you check-in, please click HERE, to fill out a Third Party Authorization.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be received at least 14 days prior to arrival in peak season (Memorial Day Weekend, July-Labor Day), and 48 hours prior to arrival in off season. A $25.00 cancellation fee WILL be applied regardless of the time you travel. Any reservation canceled within the cancellation period will forfeit the entire deposit taken.Early departure is viewed as a cancellation and is non-refundable. Packages and special room rates are non-refundable. In the event you do not stay the full number of nights booked, there will be NO REFUND and you will be billed for the full stay you have reserved.

OCCUPANCY

Additional charges per occupant, per night, above 2 occupants per room apply. Rates are based on double occupancy. Extra person charges apply to guests 11 and older. Regardless of billing or master account arrangements, you are liable for any and all charges posted to your room(s). You are further liable for all damages to the room(s) caused by you or your guests/invitees during your stay. 

ROOM NUMBER ASSIGNMENT

Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests for specific room type and location, however, we are unable to guarantee any requests as rooms are not assigned until check in. Additional fees may apply depending on the specific requests.The computer will randomly select a room number to your reservation. This is not permanent and may be changed at any time.  Sorry but we cannot guarantee specific room numbers.

Codes on the Confirmation Email or Letter

RM TYPE = Room type      OV= Ocean View       OF = Ocean Front      PV=Pool View       M=Resort  MOTEL style room      H = Hotel across the street from the Beach     HC= Handicapped accessible room.

If you do not see the proper codes on your confirmation, you need to contact the desk as soon as possible. 

PACKAGE POLICIES

Cannot be combined with any other offer, discount or already discounted service. For new reservations only. Cash cannot be redeemed for unused services. All packages must be paid in full at time of reservation, no changes or cancellations are permitted. All packages are non-refundable. Cancellation policy is strictly enforced. Vouchers do not include gratuities, are not transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Dinner or Spa vouchers do not include liquor, tax or gratuity, are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Spa appointments must be made in advance for ALL Spa Packages. Seasonal, Midweek and Weekend Room Rates apply to all packages and specials. Prices, availability, and services are subject to change. Offers subject to availability. Offers may be changed or rescinded any time by resort without notice. Other restrictions may apply. Packages and specials subject to change.

Other Information

1. Sorry, beach chairs and umbrellas are not available for rental, and reserving or saving provided lounge chairs at pools is strictly prohibited.  
2. The White Sands does not allow pets of any kind.
3. PARKING: One space is allocated per room. Your license plate will be required at check-in. Unfortunately, we do not have excess parking spaces to accommodate more than one car per room. 
4. Smoke-Free Policy: For your health, smoking is not permitted within the hotel or resort buildings. Guests are permitted to smoke outside in designated areas. Guests who do not comply will be charged a room-recovery fee up to $200 to resotore the guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.
5. A Resort fee of $10 per day will be charged in addition to your room rate which includes free wifi, one parking space per room and pool towel usage.  
6. A 3% Convenience fee will be charged if you will be paying all or in part with a credit or debit card.
